Introducing Claude Design by Anthropic Labs
We’ll see how this plays out. It looks great and sounds great but some of the early feedback is that the number of tokens required to create something usable far outweighs the hourly rate of a human designer.
On the other hand, this seems far more likely than most teams to actually follow the visual identity guide.

An update:
Thoughts and Feelings around Claude Design by Sam Henri Gold, is an interesting take on what this might mean for Figma.
As a designer who does a lot of work in the digital space, I’ve been through all of the eras (literally all of them: I started on Gopher). Most recently, Sketch, and now Figma, and I’m not sure that I don’t welcome an LLM as point-person/admin for the process.
I don’t think Claude Design is necessarily it, but surely we can do better, scale better (especially for tiny projects), and maybe even build in some accessibility guardrails while we’re at it.
