Adobe’s InDesign team is making progress with improvements to accessibility features, guided by The Accessible EPUB Expert Group.
Thanks to the group’s advocacy, Adobe introduced updates in the latest major update (20.4, June 2025) including improvements for nested lists, SVG output, and support for MathML.
Note: I recognize that the cover image plays to the very incorrect notion that digital “Accessibility” is about making content available to the blind, and I wouldn’t usually go this route were it not for the recent release of Optician Sans, a beautiful, open source typeface.
